Aurelian Lis is the global CEO of Dermalogica, a subsidiary of Unilever Prestige. For over 30 years, Dermalogica has been committed to elevating the skin care industry through providing world-class education to professional skin therapists and salon owners, as well as cutting-edge, professional-grade products that deliver results. Dermalogica is a standalone company headquartered in Los Angeles and is sold worldwide. Since 2016 the company has embarked on a digital transformation that has redefined the brand to new consumers seeking healthy skin. Dermalogica’s FaceMapping® technology is just one of the many examples.

Before joining Dermalogica in January 2016, Aurelian Lis spent nearly six years at Benefit Cosmetics, an LVMH (Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton) company. As General Manager of the Americas, he held responsibility for full profitability of the US, Canadian, Mexican, Brazilian and Chilean business including sales, company boutiques, home shopping, e-commerce, marketing, public relations, visual merchandising, training and digital marketing. In 2014, Benefit Cosmetics surpassed $1billion in sales worldwide.

Prior to his tenure at Benefit, Aurelian Lis was President and Co-founder of PRESCRIBEDsolutions [Customized Skincare], a skincare line distributed through the offices of 500 dermatologists and plastic surgeons which was acquired by Biopelle, Inc a subsidiary of Ferndale Pharm Group in August 2009. The line of cosmeceuticals can be adapted through the addition of boosters to be individualized for individual skincare concerns.

Before joining PRESCRIBEDsolutions Aurelian Lis was the Chief Operating Officer, Commerce for dELiA*s Corp, a leading marketer to female consumers between the ages of 13 to 24 formed out of the merger of iTurf Inc. and dELiA*s Inc. In his capacity as COO, he was responsible for five e-commerce websites including dELiAs.cOm, a destination featuring clothing and accessories for teen girls and juniors. During his time at dELiA*s Corp he implemented management, human resource and technical systems as the company raised $100 million in an IPO.

Prior to joining iTurf, Mr. Lis worked for Unilever PLC in a variety of strategic, operational and sales capacities focusing on brands including Elizabeth Arden, Cerruti and Lagerfeld. He also held a number of board positions on trade associations including the Duty Free Confederation. Mr. Lis has worked extensively in North America, Europe, Asia and the Near East.

Aurelian Lis received an MBA with distinction from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France and was awarded a first class honors degree in Physics from St. Peter's College, University of Oxford. He lives in Los Angeles, holds British, German and US nationality and is passionately championing new ways of empowering a global Tribe of employees and professionals.
