Victoria Thain Gioia is the Co-Founder and CEO of Perelel, the first and only female OB/GYN-founded vitamin company offering clinically-backed, targeted nutrition designed to meet the unique needs of women at various stages of their hormonal journey. Victoria began her career in investment banking and private equity before transitioning into finance and operating roles at early stage startups The Honest Company, Olive & June, and Carbon38. While pregnant with her second child in 2018, Victoria learned that her daughter would be born with a cleft lip, a nutrition-related birth defect, despite her taking what was widely considered to be the necessary vitamins and minerals to support a healthy pregnancy. Victoria partnered with Dr. Banafsheh Bayati, a top OB/GYN, to dive into the world of vitamins, supplements, and prenatal nutrition. Together with co-founder, Alex Taylor, they launched Perelel in 2020 to create change in the women’s healthcare industry.
