Valerie is a seasoned retail executive who has been an advocate for digital commerce since the early 2000s. From her roots in online startups to omnichannel & digital roles at large retailers like American Eagle Outfitters Inc and Walmart Inc, and most recently as a partner at TOMORROW Retail Consulting, Valerie continues to drive digitally-enabled experiences and innovation.

Valerie started her career in apparel as a merchant for DrJays.com and Macy’s Inc before moving into finance and strategy at Walmart in 2009. While there she led the finance team for Sam’s Club US stores, then relocated to China to lead the transformation of Sam’s Club China from stagnant growth to market leader. She subsequently joined RedMart Inc in Singapore, leading its expansion from online grocery start-up to multi-category marketplace, and preparing it for a sale in 2016 to Lazada/Alibaba. Since returning to the US  in 2017, Valerie has continued to focus on growing digital businesses: leading Stuart Weitzman’s (Tapestry Inc) online growth through expanding digital channels and restructuring business models, and launching American Eagle international’s localized sites and omnichannel CRM capabilities. 

Earlier this year Valerie joined TOMORROW Retail Consulting as a partner, where she continues to support retailers globally in providing customers with leading omnichannel experiences.
