Maju Kuruvilla is a technology entrepreneur and AI commerce pioneer, building intelligent systems that transform how people shop.

He is the founder and CEO of Spangle, an AI native commerce platform shaping the future of agentic retail. Spangle’s proprietary models and autonomous agents help merchants deliver adaptive, context-aware shopping experiences and unlock new revenue at scale.

Previously, Maju was CEO of Bolt, the one-click checkout platform that grew into a multibillion dollar business. There, he scaled a network of over 80 million U.S. shopper identities and enabled frictionless commerce for both retailers and consumers.

Prior to that, he spent eight years at Amazon as the Vice President of Engineering. He led the development of several large-scale AI systems, scaled global Prime fulfillment technologies, and drove major innovations across the company’s e-commerce infrastructure.

Earlier in his career, he was a founding engineer at a healthcare payments startup that scaled in to over 100 million dollars in revenue and achieved a successful exit, further demonstrating his ability to drive innovation across industries.

Over the course of his career, Maju has led product and technology innovation across the full commerce stack, including supply chain, fulfillment, payments, fraud prevention, seller growth, and customer experience.

Outside of work, he is a proud father, part-time chauffeur for his kids, and finds balance through daily walking meditations and mindfulness practice.
