Ellen Shenette leads EDF’s retail sector engagement, helping major retailers decarbonize global supply chains while building resilience and business value. She has more than 12 years of experience connecting Fortune 500 companies with the resources and capabilities needed to advance sustainability initiatives that deliver measurable results. Through EDF’s Climate Corps program, she helped organizations identify an estimated $1.6 billion in energy savings, working with companies including Walmart, REI, and Tiffany & Co.
Ellen is an expert in corporate sustainability strategies that strengthen supply chains, enhance brand value, attract and retain talent, and address growing investor expectations. Her focus is helping companies embed sustainability into day-to-day operations, creating more resilient businesses, stronger customer trust, and long-term competitive advantage.
She holds an MBA from Simmons University with a focus on sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR), which informs her work helping companies embed climate action into core business strategy. Ellen earned her bachelor's degree from Boston University.
