How does Meetup for Women Work?
TARGETED ONE-TO-ONE, MUTUALLY MATCHED MEETINGS
- Meetings will take place as part of our larger Meetup Program and will be scheduled through the same process as Meetup. Out of our larger Meetup program which has 19 available time slots, we will have 3 dedicated time slots for women-to-women only meetings. All women at Shoptalk Fall are eligible to be scheduled for meetings during these 3 time slots, so long as you have already mutually opted in to a meeting request and have told us that you are available during the Meetup for Women time slots!
- Meetings will span across a variety of use cases, depending on who you are scheduled to meet with! Meetings will span from connecting with other women on mentorship opportunities, networking with likeminded peers, or even connecting for new business partnerships. The opportunities are endless!
- You will be able to indicate through our Meetup platform what topics you are most interested in meeting with others about. Your profile information and interests will then be shared with other attendees so that they can review to see if they too are interested in connecting on the same topics. Topics range from Mentorship to Women in the Workplace and Startup Founders (amongst many more!). From there, once attendees have indicated a mutual interest in meeting with each other, we will run our scheduling algorithm and schedule as many meetings as we can for you!
SMALL GROUP PEER-TO-PEER DISCUSSIONS
- Our small group discussions will take place through our larger Tabletalks Program and will be scheduled through the same process as our general Tabletalks. You will be able to indicate which topics you are interested in by selecting them in our platform. You will have the opportunity to express interest in joining both our women-only as well as our general Tabletalks.
- Tabletalks will provide you an opportunity for knowledge sharing and learning in a small scale setting.
INFORMAL NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES
- We will be offering an exclusive women-only networking reception, which will be open to all women at Shoptalk Fall.
- After connecting through one to one meetings and small group discussions during our show hours, you will have the opportunity to network and connect following show hours.
While meeting with other women onsite, we also encourage you to share your contact details through the Shoptalk Fall mobile app so that you can continue to stay in touch even after Shoptalk Fall. The Meetup for Women community is one that we are strongly committed to here at Shoptalk, where we will continue to offer opportunities to network and connect with other leaders throughout the year.
